Upma -Kerala style
Upma is the simplest breakfast recipe ,usually in many hostels they are serving upma as the major breakfast item.
Ingredients
1.Sooji Rava - 1 cup
2.Green chillies - 2 no
3.Shallots /kunjully/onion chopped - 2 tsp
4.Salt
5.Coconut grated - one handfull
6.Water- 1 1/2 cup
7.Oil - 1 tsp
8.Curry leaves
9.Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
Preparation
1.Hat the oil in a pan and saute the ginger,green chillies ,onion,curry leaves well to this pour the water with salt and bring it to boil.
2.To the add the grated coconut and fried rava and mix it well.Break up big lumps and cover it with a lid and cook it for 5 mts.
