Orange Cake Custard from Vanitha Magazine

This recipe is from the Vanitha Magazine given by Ammu Mathew.Lets go through the ingredients.

Ingredients

1.Sponge Cake - 1/2 kg
2.Orange Juice - 1 cup
3.Milk - 2 cup
4.Egg - 3
5.Sugar - 1/4 cup
6.Icing Sugar - 6 table spoon

Preparation

1.Cut the cake pieces in to small squares ,Pour the orange juice on top of it and keep it aside.

2.Boil the milk in another pan and keep it in simmer for 10 mts.

3.Seperate the egg white and yellow.Beat the egg yellow with sugar and pour the boiled milk to this and mix it well.Then again bring it to boil by double boiling method .Till it will be in the form of custard.

4.Spread the custard on the top of the cake pieces.

5.Beat the egg white and icing sugar in another bowl till it becomes puffy.Spread one layer of this on the top of the cake and then bake it in a preheated oven at 300 degree for 15 mts.....
