Carrot Halwa (Gajar ka Halwa)


Halwa is everyones favourite .If there is any function in our house we all are interested to make some sweets.And sweets are considered as the party time dish in our menu card.And carrot halwa is very easy to make.


Ingredients

1.Carrot shredded - 2 cup
2.Milk - 2 cup
3.Butter /ghee - 2 tsp
4.Sugar - 1/2 cup
5.Cardamom -1/4 tsp
6.Cashew nuts and raisins - 25 gm each


Preparation

1.In a pan at medium flame melt the ghee and add the cashew nuts and raisins to it and then add the grated carrot to it and saute well.To this add the milk and cook it for around 20 mts.

2.When the carrot is fully cooked add the sugar and mix well .when the ghee starts oozing out from the halwa put off the fire and add the cardamom powder to it.

thus the carrot halwa is ready......
