Pazham nirachath -Malabar special recipe(Stuffed Banana)

 
Pazham nirachath is a special kind of snack item popular among Malabar area.Very easy to prepare and very tasty also .The recipe belongs to my mummy .She got it from one of the Tv cookery shows.Any ways it is a very simple and easy snack item and your children will love it. 
 
 
 





 
 
 

Ingredients needed to make the Pazham nirachath

1.Riped banana - 4 no
2.Grated coconut - 1 cup
3.Jaggery - 1/2 cup
4.cachew nuts -2 tsp
5 Raisins-2 tsp
6.Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp
7.Oil to fry the banana
8.Ghee - 2 tsp
9.Maida/all purpose flour -1/2 cup
10.Sesame seed - 1 tsp
11.Salt
12.Water

How to prepare the pazham nirachath

1.Peel the skin of bananas.

2.In a heavybottom pan heat the ghee and saute the cashewnut and raisins .When it turned golden color remove it from ghee and add the jaggery in the ghee add little water .

3.When the jaggery started melting add the grated coconut to it.Mix it well with jaggery ,now add the cardamom powder and fried dry fruits to it .The filling should be thick.

4.Now in another bowl mix the maida ,a pinch of salt,sesame seeds and water to make it in the form of batter.

5.Now take the banana and make a shallow  slit lengthwise, and stuff the coconut mixture inside it.

6.Now carefully coat the batter over the banana,and deep fry the banana in oil.

7.Drain the excess oil with a tissue paper........................................
