Ingredients
1.Ginger -100 gm
2.Green chillies -2 or 3
3.Jaggery -2 pieces
4.Tamarind - size of a small lemon
6.Chilli powder - 2 tsp
7.Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
8.Salt for taste
9.Oil to fry the ginger
10.Curry leaves a small pinch
11.mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
12. Red chilli -1
Preparation
1. Cut the ginger and green chillies in to small pieces and fry it in the oil till it becomes golden brown in colour.And crush it in a mixer.
2.Soak tamarind in water and take the extract and keep it aside.
3.Heat oil in a pan to splutter the mustard seeds ,red chilli and curry leaves and then add red chilli powder ,turmeric powder,and salt to it and reduce the flame . 4.Then add the tamarind pulp to it along with jaggery.Boil it for 2 minutes then add crushed ginger to it and make it thick.
Once it is cooled completely, you can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator .
