Appam kerala style


Appam is also a very common breakfast in Kerala

Ingredients

1.Raw rice - 1 cup
2.Cooked rice - 1/2 cup
3.Grated coconut- 1 cup
4.Sugar - 1 tsp
5.Yeast - 1/2 tsp
6.Salt

Preparation

1.Soak the raw rice for 4 to 5 hrs and then grind it along with cooked rice ,coconut.You can also add the coconut water to it .

2.Mix the yeast ,sugar salt in lukewarm water and add this also to the batter.

3.And keep the batter for at least 8 hours for fermentation.Then spread the mixture in a nonstick pan and cover it with lid and cook it for 2 mts.
Now the appam is ready
