Chole Masala


Ingredients

1.Cabuli Chana - 1 cup
2.Onion - 2
3.Tomatoes - 2
4.Coriander leaves
5.Ginger paste - 1 tsp
6.Garlic paste - 1 tsp
7.Green chillies - 2
8.Cumin seed - 1 tsp
9.Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
10.Chilli powder - 1 tsp
11.Oil
12.Garam masala - 1/2 tsp


Preparation

1.Soak the chana for one overnight and pressure cook it with a little salt.

2.Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions,ginger,garlic paste ,green chillies well till the onions turns to be brown the add the tomatoes and mash it well.

3.You can either putt off the fire and grind the masala to become fine paste or you can mash it well.

4.In the same pan saute the grounded masala and add the red chilli powder,garam masala ,salt to it and saute well.

5.Then add the cooked chole to it along with the water used to cook it .Cook it till the gravy becomes thick.

6.Then turn of the flame and add the chopped coriander leaves .In another pan heat the ghee or oil and add the cumin seed to it and then pour this to the chole.


Enjoy it with hot batture.............
