1.plain yogurt - 2 cup
2.Cucumber grated - 1 large one
3.Mint leaves - 1/4 cup chopped
4.Salt for tastes
5.Ground cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
6.cayenne pepper - a pinch (red chilli pepper)
Preparation
1.Wrap the cucumber in a towel to squeeze to dry it,or avoid the moisture from it.
2.Then in a bowl mix the yogurt ,mint leaves,salt,cumin powder,cayenne with a spoon.Add the grated cucumber to it and mix well.Chill it till the time you serve it.
Usually raita is served with hot spicy food to reduce the heat of the dish.
