Kada Roast (Quail Roast ) - Kerala Recipe








Quail is a small sized bird ,small as a little chick.Recently i started to raise quails and thus i was in search of delicacies of quails.So today i am going to prepare the quail fry or kada fry with my own backyard quails. My servant helped me in clean the quails.



Ingredients

1.Kada /Quail - 2 no
2.Onion - 3 sliced
3.Ginger and garlic paste - 2 tsp
4.Green chillies chopped - 3 to 5 no
5.Tomato - 1 big
6.Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
7.Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
8.Coriander powder - 1 tsp
9.Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
10.Salt
11.Curry leaves
12.Oil - 2 tsp
13.Coconut milk - 2 tsp

Preparation


1.Heat the oil in a pan and saute the ginger garlic paste first.Then add the onions to it and saute it well.Then add the green chillies ,curry leaves ,tomato to it and saute it well.

2.Add the cleaned quail to it .You can cut it in to 2 big pieces.In this recipe we are adding the quail before adding the powdered masala to it.Then add the turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder, garam masala powder,salt,coconut milk to it and mix it well.

3.Then keep the fire in low flame and cook it for nearly 20 mts.Cooking time of quail is really low but to make the roast perfect cook it in low flame for 20 mts.Now the kada roast is ready to be served with palappam....
