Chicken Samoosa - Malabar recipe




Ingredients

For the Filling


1.Chicken boneless - 1 lb
2.Onions chopped - 3 no
3.Ginger paste - 1 medium size piece
4.Garlic paste - 3 cloves
5.Green chillies paste - 8 no
6.Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
7Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
8.Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
9.Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
10.Salt
11.Curry leaves
12.Oil - 2 tsp to saute

For the wrapper


1.All purpose flour/Maida - 1 cup
2.Salt
3.Rice flour - 2 tsp


Preparation

1.Cook the chicken with red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt without adding any water to it.And after 3 whistle it will be done but if there is any water left evaporate it .Mince them in a mixer or you can do it with your hand.

2.Heat the oil in a pan and saute the ginger garlic and green chilli paste.Add the curry leaves and chopped onions and saute it for 4 to5 mts.Then to this add the fennel powder and pepper powder.

3.Mix it well and to this add the minced chicken .Now turn off the fire and keep it aside.

4.Now to make the wrapper here i added 2 tsp of rice flour to get the crispness. Knead the flour just like that for the roti atta.

5.Roll them similar that to make chappathi, and cut it into 4 parts and fill each half with the samosa mix. Close the samosa with the pointed edge.

6.Heat the oil in a pan and deep fry the samosa.Serve it with hot and sweet chutney.
