Naranga Curry (Lemon Curry ) - Onam Special Recipe

Ingredients For Naranga Curry

1.Coconut oil - 1 tsp
2.Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies - 2
Curry leaves
3.Vadukappuli naranga - 1 big
4.Green chillies chopped - 3
5.Ginger chopped - 2 tsp
6.Red chilly powder - 2 tsp
7.Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
9.Tamarind - one gooseberry size
10.Asafoetida (Kayam ) - 1/4 tsp
11.Uluva ( Fenugreek powder ) - 1/4 tsp
12.Nallenna (gingerly oil ) - 2 tsp

How to make Naranga Curry

1.Heat the oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds ,red chillies and curry leaves to it .

2.Then add the lemon ,ginger,green chillies to it and saute it well.Then add the red chilly powder,turmeric powder and salt to it.

3.To this then add the asafotida powder and tamarind water and bring it to boil.

4.When it becomes thick turn off the fire and add the uluva powder and nallenna to it .When it become cool store it in an airtight container.
