Adapradhaman



Adapradhaman is my favorite payasam.But making ada at home will make it difficult but now you will get in the market the ada itself so it will be easier.But any way i will also give the preparation of how to make ada.

Ingredients

1. Ada -250 gm
2.Jaggery -5oo gm
3.Ghee - 100 gm
4.Cashew and raisins- 50 gm each
5.Cardomom- 1 tsp
7.Dry ginger - 1tsp
8.Very thin coconut milk-3 cup
9.Thin coconut milk - 2 cup
10.Thick coconut milk- 2 cup
11.Coconut sliced /tengakoth - 1/4 cup

Preparation

1.Melt the jaggery in half cup of water.

2.Wash the ada and and soak it in boiled water for 20 mts and then drain the water.

3. Mix the cooked ada and jaggery well and stir it in low flame for 5 mts.

4.Then add the 3rd milk of coconut to it and bring to boil and stir until it become thick .Then the 2nd milk and stir it also to become thick.Then the 1st milk and stir well don't allow it to boil and remove it from fire.

5.Fry the raisins,cashew and coconut sliced in ghee and add it to the pradhaman.


You can add the cooked sago along with the ada also nearly 50 gms.



How to make ada (This is for 1 litre of milk)

1.
Rice powder - 80 gm (without frying)
2.coconut oil - 25 gm
3.Water
4.Banana leaf

Mix rice flour with water and oil and make it to a fine dough like chappathi dough.Then in the cleaned banana leaf on its back side apply the dough and with needle make divisions on it.Then without folding directly put this in to the boiling water and cook for 10 mts .Then it will be separated from the leaf.Be sure that it should be always keep in water.And before adding it to the jaggery wash it several time to remove the excess oil in it.It is really a tough process.
