Ingredients
1.Raw rice - 2 cup
2.Grated coconut - 1 cup
3.Sugar - 1/4 cup or as you needed
4.Raisins for garnishing
5.Yeast -1/2 tsp
6.Salt a pinch
Preparation
1. Soak the rice for 5 to 6 hrs, and then grind it with coconut,sugar and cooked rice you can add the coconut water to it also.In 1/4 th glass of water add the yeast and little sugar and then mix it with the grinded rice.
2. After 4 hrs of fermentation apply little ghee on the idly mould and pour the batter on to it with raisins on the top and steam it for 20 mts. Now the tasty vattayappam is ready.....
