Ingredients
1.Black eyed beans (Karamani /Perum payar ) - 1 cup
2.Grated coconut - 3 tsp
3.Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
4.Red chilly - 2 no
5.Curry leaves
6.Urad dal /Split black gram - 2 tsp
7.Oil - 2 tsp
8.Salt as needed
9.Hing/Kayam - a pinch
Preparation of karamani Sundal
1.Wash the beans well and then pressure cook the beans for 2 whistle.Do not over cook the beans.
2.Heat the oil and splutter the mustard seeds then add urad dal,red chilly ,and curry leaves to it.Add hing to it .When the urad dal becomes golden in color add the cooked black eyed beans to it.
3.And then add the grated coconut and salt to it. Cook it for 4 another mts and then serve it as hot
