Keema Mutton Biriyani

"Keema" means minced meat, so keema biriyani means biriyani which is prepared by minced meat.

Ingredients For Keema Biriyani

1.Minced Mutton - 750 gm
2.Ginger paste - 2 tsp
3.Garlic paste - 2 tsp
4.Green chilly paste with 6 no
5.Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
6.Curd - 3/4 cup
7.Lemon juice - 2 tsp
8.Coriander leaves
9.Raw papaya grounded - 1 table spoon
10.Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
11.Oil - 6 1/2 tsp
13.Basmathi rice - 400 gm
14.Sha jeera - 1/2 tsp
15.Onion sliced - 5 no
16.Saffron - 1/2 tsp
17.Milk - 1/3 cup
18.Ghee - 3 table spoon

How to make Keema Biriyani

1.Mince the mutton really well and then marinate it with ginger garlic,green chilly paste.Also add garam masala powder,curd ,coriander leaves,lemon juice,grounded papaya ,turmeric powder ,salt and 3 table spoon oil to it.And keep it for 1 hour.

2.Soak the rice for 20 mts in water and then drain it out from the water.

3.Boil 2 litre of water and add salt ,sha jeera and 1 tsp oil and rice to it .When the rice become half cooked drain the rice out from the water.

4.Heat 3 table spoon oil in a pan and fry the sliced onion in it till it becomes golden brown color.

5.In a heavy bottom vessel add ghee and then place half of fried onions in the bottom portion.

6.Then add the marinated minced mutton on top of the fried onions.Also spread rest of fried onions on top of it.

7.Then spread the rice on top of it.

8.Add the saffron to milk and prepare the saffron milk.

9.Sprinkle the saffron milk on top of the rice .Cover the vessel with a tight lid and cook it on top of a hot dosa tava for 2 mts.Then keep the fire on simmer and cook it again for 30 mts on low flame.

10.Now the delicious keema mutton biriyani is ready to be served.
