How to set a table ?



As we all know about table setting ,but we did not know about what is proper table settings.A perfectly arranged table is the dream of everyone .But how to arrange it ,where to place the napkin?where to place the knife and fork ? these are some common questions.The following are the major things on a table.

1.Napkin (serviette)
2.Service plate
3.Soup bowl on plate
4.Butter plate and spreader
5.Dinner fork
6.Salad Fork
7.Dessert fork and spoon
8.Red wine glass
9.White wine glass
10.Coffee cup and saucer

Napkin :A napkin is a face towel or small cloth which is placed on table for whiping mouth while eating.A napkin is always folded and placed left of plate setting outside the fork.A napkin is always kept in a napkin folder or napkin ring.

Service Plate : A service plate is that in which the main course of food is served.In some settings the napkin is placed over the service plate and when the guest are seated they immediately remove the napkins from the plate and place them on the lap.

Butter plate and spreader:Butter plate and spreader should be kept on each table.So that guest can take the butter individually using the butter knife.
