Sago Pudding (chowary pudding) by Lekshmi nair


Ingredients


1.Sago /Chowary - 100 gm
2.Sugar - 3 table spoon
3.Tender coconut - 2 no or 1 1/2 cup
4.Water - 1 1/2 cup
5. Thick Coconut Milk - 1/4 cup

Preparation


1.Soak the sago in water foe half an hour.Then boil 1 1/2 cup of water and add this soaked sago to it,and cook the sago.

2.When the sago become cooked add the sugar to it.And mix it well.Turn off the fire and when it becomes cool add the tender coconut slices to it.

3.With a spoon mix it well,and keep it in the lower part of fridge.

4.Add 2 table spoon of coconut milk to each bowl of sago pudding when you serving it.

Coffee pudding by lakshmi nair


Ingredients

1.Instant coffee powder - 2 tsp
2.Sugar -4 table spoon
3.Milk Maid -1/2 tin
4.Water - 2 cup
5.Gelatin - 2 table spoon
6.Fresh cream - 1 cup

Preparation

1.Soak the gelatin in 1/2 cup of cold water.

2.Boil the rest of 1 1/2 cup of water and add 2 tsp of coffee powder to it,add sugar to it.

3.Add the soaked gelatin to the hot coffee and melt it by stirring.

4.Add milkmaid to it and mix it well.Then beat the fresh cream and mix it slowly with the coffee mixture.

5.Pour it in a pudding tray and keep it in fridge to become set.

Serve it with cream.............

Sweet Bread


Ingredients

1.Maida /All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup
2.Atta /Wheat flour - 1 cup
3.Milk - 1 cup
4.Egg - 1
5.Honey - 1 table spoon
6.Sugar - 4 table spoon
7.Tutti frutti-1/2 cup
8.Salt a pinch
9.Yeast - 1 1/2 tsp
10.Sunflower oil - 1 table spoon

Preparation



1.Take a bowl and add the yeast, lightly warm milk ,sugar,honey,sunflower oil,salt,half of one egg,to it .Beat it with a blender or a spoon.

2.To this add the atta and tutti frutti and mix it with a blender.Add the maida to it. You can mix it with your hand.It should be like the dough for the chappathi.

3.Then put it in a greased bread tin and if you cover the tin the bread will be flat and if you place it open the bread will be lightly mounted or merged.

4.Then keep it in a warm water for 30 mts.Then after 30 mts keep the bread tin along with the warm water to a oven.bake it under 180 degree for 1 hr .And after one hour apply little butter on the top and again bake it for another 10 mts.

After that you can slice it in to pieces................

Fruit Salad/Fruit Custard


Usually in India we are calling this dish as fruit salad ,but in other countries it is known as fruit custard.

Ingredients

1.Milk - 2 cup
2.Sugar - 1/2 cup or as desired by you
3.Custard powder - 3 table spoon
4.Apple -2
5.Strawberry - 4
6.Mango - 1
7.Banana - 1
8.Pomegranate -1

Fruits can be taken according to you choice.You can add dry fruits also..



Preparation

1. Mix the custard powder with little cold milk and mix it well

2.Then bring to boil the rest of milk along with sugar .When it starts to boil add the custard powder in milk to it .Mix well so that no lumps should be formed.

3.Stir it till the time it starts to thicken ,turn off the fire.It should be not that much thick.Keep it for to cool.

4.Mix the fruit with custard only the time when you serve it.Otherwise its color should be fade out.

5.Then in a glass or bowl add the fruits then pour the custard on it mix it with a spoon.

Vanilla Custard Pudding


Ingredients


1.Vanilla custard powder- 2 table spoon

2.Milk - 1/2 litre
3.Sugar - 6 to 7 table spoon

4.Gelatin -1 table spoon

5.Vanilla essence-1 tsp

6.Fresh cream -1 cup



Preparation


1.Soak the gelatin in little cold water.


2.Mix the custard powder in half cup of milk.Then boil the rest of milk with sugar.

3.When it starts to boil add the custard powder in milk to it.And boil it till it get the consistency of custard or it becomes thicken.


4.Then to this add the soaked gelatin and melt it.Now turn off the fire and keep it in lower part of
fridge just to make it chill.


5.To this next add the vanilla essence and the fresh cream mix it well.


6.Then in a pudding tray pour the mixture and keep it the freezer for 1 hour to get it set.

Apple Bread Pudding with egg


With apple we can make different varieties of pudding .I think this is the simple one.
Ingredients

1.Apple - 2 no
2.Bread - 3 pieces
3.Egg - 4 no
4.Milk - 1/2 cup
5.Sugar - 1/2 cup
6.Raisins - 1/4 cup
7.Butter - 2 tsp
8.Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Preparation

1.Peel the apple and make it in to finely chopped.

2.Melt 2 tsp butter in a pan and add the apple to this and stir for 7 to 8 mts.

3.Cut the sides of bread and Make it in to cubes add this also to the apple - butter mixture.Also add the raisins to this.Turn off the fire.

4.In a bowl beat the eggs ,milk,sugar ,vanilla essence .

5.In a greased vessel put the apple mixture first and above it pour the milk mixture and in a 350 pre heated oven bake it for 45 mts.

You can serve it as hot or chill with whipped cream .
