Marble Cake


The name that was given to these kind of cake is due to their designs similar to that of the designs in a marble piece.At first i was also very much confused about the design how they are formed.Then i got the idea from a cookery show.It is a beautiful cake with mottled designs by dark and light shades of chocolate.

Ingredients

1.All purpose flour/Maida - 2 cup
2.Egg - 3
3.Butter - 1 cup or 100 gm
4.Sugar - 1 cup
5.Vanilla essence -1 tsp
6.Cooking chocolate - 50 gm
7.Coco powder - 1 table spoon
8.Baking powder - 1 1/2 table spoon

Preparation

1.Mix the all purpose flour and baking powder by filter it through a stainer.

2.Beat the batter with sugar using a beater.To this add egg one by one and beat it really well.

3.Add the flour mixture slowly to the butter sugar mix.By using a spoon fold it carefully.

4.Then divide the mixture in to two equal parts.To one portion add the vanilla essence and mix slowly.

5.Then in another pan double boil the cooking chocolate till it melts.

6.Then add the cooking chocolate sauce and coco powder to the other portion of the batter.

7.Then preheat the oven at 180 degree for 5 minutes.And in a cake tin pour 1 tsp of vanilla flavoured batter in the cake tin and level it with a spoon .Then above it pour 1 tsp chocolate batter and continue it in alternative way till the batter get finished.

8.Then take a knife and swirl it around the batter in a zig zag fashion, 3-4 times.

9.Then bake it in the preheated oven for 45 mts at 180 degree.

You can check it in between with a toothpick.
