Kappa Puzhungiyath and Mulak chammanthi


Kappa Puzhungiyath is very common and easy dish made up in Kerala.The Kappa is sliced in to big pieces and which is boiled in water.And with mulak chammanthi it is best served .

How to make the kappa puzhungiyath

First peel the skin of the kappa or tapioca both the outer layer and the inner rose colored skin.
And cut it in to big pieces .And in a large vessel fill the water and add required amount of salt to it then add the kappa pieces to it.And bring it to boil and cook it till it becomes soft .Then turn off the fire and drain water from it.


The great combination is with mulak chammanthi especially with kanthari mulaku.

Ingredients


1.Small shallots /kunjulli - 8 to 9
2.Kanthari mulak - 6 to 8 you can use according to your taste.
3.Tamarind a small piece
4.Salt
5.Oil

Preparation

1.Grind the mulak with kunjulli and tamarind.Then add salt and coconut oil to it.Wow hot chammanthi with kappa in theses rainy days.
