Chammanthi podi -kerala style


Ingredients


1.Grated coconut - 2 coconuts
2.Red chillies - 20 to 25 or according to your taste
3.Black pepper -1/2 tsp
4.Tamarind - a lemon size or according to your taste
5.Urad dal - 1 tsp
6.Garlic - 3 cloves
7.Coriander seed - 1 tsp
8.Curry leaves - 5 springs
9.Salt

Preparation

1.In a big wok add all the ingredients except that of salt and tamarind .Heat the walk and stir it continuously.

2.Fry it till the coconut gets a deep brown color ,it will take almost 40 mts.

3.Cool and grind it add the tamarind and salt in between.Taste it and you can add it according to your taste.

4.If you want fine powder filter it through a stainer and grind the rest again.

5.Keep it in air tight containers...........
