plum cake recipe 2

 Ingredients needed to make plum Cake

1.Red grape wine - 75ml
2.Black raisins - 250 gms
3.Dry ginger powdered and soak in sugar syrup - 25 gm
4.Dried orange peel - 25 gms
5.Sugar - 25 gms
6.Dried Lemon peel - 1 no
7.Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
8.Salt a pinch
9.Honey - 25 ml
10.Lemon juice - 2tsp

To make the batter of cake

11.Butter -150 gm
12.Egg -3 no
13.Maida/flour- 300 gm
14.Sugar-150 gm
15.Rum - 25 ml
16.Caramel syrup - 2 tsp
17 .Baking powder - 1 tsp

How to prepare the Plum Cake

1.In a heavy bottom pan when it become hot pour the red wine to it,and then add the 25 gm sugar to it.

2.Add a pinch of salt,lemon peel,dry ginger,peeled orange skin,lemon juice to it and bring it to boil.

3.Now add the raisins to it and cook it for another 5 mts.

4.Turn of the fire and add the honey to it and mix it well.Now the mix will be thick and keep it to cool.

5.Now add the nutmeg powder and rum to it and mix it well.

6.In another bowl take the 150 gm of sugar ,and butter and beat it well with a beater.

7.Now add the egg one by one to it and mix it well.add the fruit mix it and mix slowly.

8.Now add the maida slowly and fold carefully with a spoon.

9.Now the batter is ready pour this batter in a dusted cake pan and bake it in 150 degree for 1 hour.

10.When it become cool cut the cake into pieces.

Plum cake for christmas

Hey happy christmas to all my readers.From today onwards on considering this festive season i will blog only about cakes till christmas.So this is cake number one plumcake.

Ingredients needed to make plum cakes

1.Dry friuts- 1/2 cup
2.Rum - 2 table spoon
3.Butter - 125 gms
4. Powdered Sugar -125 gms
5.Maida - 125 gms
6.Egg - 2 no
7.Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
8.Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
9.Caramel syrup - 1/2 cup

How to make plum Cake

1.Soak the dryfruits including broken nuts,dates,raisins,apricots in brandy for one week.

2.In a bowl beat the butter and powdered sugar till it become pluffy.

3.Add the egg to this mixture and beat it again ,add one egg at a time.Now add the caramel syrup to it and mix it well using a wooden spatula.

4.Now in another bowl mix the maida with baking powder.Add the dry fruits to this.Mix it well by using your hand.

5.Now add this maida mix to the beaten butter ,sugar.Add the vanilla essence to it .

6. Now pour the mixture to a dusted baking try and bake it in the oven for 1 hour at 180 degree .

7.Now the yummy plum cake is ready to be served.......

Malabar Banana Cake

Ingredients

1.Ripe Banana - 2
2.Egg - 2
3.Sugar - 4 tsp or according to your taste
4.Milk -1/4 cup
5.Cashew nuts -25 gm
6.Raisins - 25 gm
7.Ghee - 2 tsp
8.Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp


Preparation


1.Chop the banana in to small cube size pieces.Then heat the ghee in a pan and add the banana and saute it well till it becomes lightly brown color.

2.In another vessel beat the egg with milk and sugar.Better do it with a egg beater.Also add the cardamom powder to it.To this add the cashew nuts , raisins ,and fried banana.

3.Then in a greased sauce pan pour the banana mixture and cover it with a lid and cook it medium flame for 10 mts.

4.In between make sure that the things do not get burnt.

5.Or you can pour it in a baking tin and cook it in160 degree for 20 mts.

Marble Cake


The name that was given to these kind of cake is due to their designs similar to that of the designs in a marble piece.At first i was also very much confused about the design how they are formed.Then i got the idea from a cookery show.It is a beautiful cake with mottled designs by dark and light shades of chocolate.

Ingredients

1.All purpose flour/Maida - 2 cup
2.Egg - 3
3.Butter - 1 cup or 100 gm
4.Sugar - 1 cup
5.Vanilla essence -1 tsp
6.Cooking chocolate - 50 gm
7.Coco powder - 1 table spoon
8.Baking powder - 1 1/2 table spoon

Preparation

1.Mix the all purpose flour and baking powder by filter it through a stainer.

2.Beat the batter with sugar using a beater.To this add egg one by one and beat it really well.

3.Add the flour mixture slowly to the butter sugar mix.By using a spoon fold it carefully.

4.Then divide the mixture in to two equal parts.To one portion add the vanilla essence and mix slowly.

5.Then in another pan double boil the cooking chocolate till it melts.

6.Then add the cooking chocolate sauce and coco powder to the other portion of the batter.

7.Then preheat the oven at 180 degree for 5 minutes.And in a cake tin pour 1 tsp of vanilla flavoured batter in the cake tin and level it with a spoon .Then above it pour 1 tsp chocolate batter and continue it in alternative way till the batter get finished.

8.Then take a knife and swirl it around the batter in a zig zag fashion, 3-4 times.

9.Then bake it in the preheated oven for 45 mts at 180 degree.

You can check it in between with a toothpick.

Baked Apple Cheese Cake


Ingredients

1.Apple - 4 no
2.Sugar - 2 table spoon
3.Water needed to cook apple
4.Biscuit - 50 no
5.Butter - 150 gm
6.Lemon juice - 1 tsp
7.Lemon skin -1 tsp
8.Milk maid - 1 tin
9.Egg - 3 no


Preparation


1.Peel the skin of apple and remove its seed and cut it in to pieces.

2.Cook the apple with sugar and water.And smash it with spoon.

3.Then melt the butter in a pan and when it is done make it in simmer and add the powdered biscuit to it and mix well.

4.Put 1/4 th of the biscuit mixture in the cake tin and press it with a spoon to make it tight.

5.And keep it in the lower part of fridge to make it set.

6.Separate the white and yellow of eggs.

7.To the cooked apple add the egg yellow,lemon juice,milk maid,lemon skin,and mix it well.

8.Then beat the egg white well with a blender.And add this slowly to the apple mix.

9.Then pour this on the top of the already set biscuit base.And then sprinkle the rest of the biscuit mixture on top of it.

10.Then bake it in a preheated oven at 160 degree for 40 to 50 minutes.

Chocolate Nut Tea Cake


Ingredients

1.Maida - 1 cup
2.powdered sugar - 3/4 cup
3.Baking powder - 1 tsp
4.Corn flour - 4 tsp
5.Butter - 100 gm
6.Egg -2
7.Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
8.Cashew nuts crushed - 1/4 cup
9.Peeled lemon skin - 3 tsp
10.Milk - 1/2 cup
11.Choco chips - 1/2 cup


Preparation

1.Mix the maida ,corn flour,baking powder really well.Filter it through a stainer.

2.In a bowl mix the powdered sugar with butter and beat it with a spoon or beater.

3.To this add the egg one by one and beat it well.Also add the vanilla essence to it and the lemon peel to it.

4.Then add the flour slowly to it and mix well in between add the milk to it and mix well .At last add the cashew nuts and choo chips to it.

5.To a baking tin coated with butter add the batter and bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 30 minutes.

Dates Cake with out egg


Ingredients

1.Dates - 250 gm with out seed and minced finely
2.Refined oil - 1/2 cup
3.Maida/all purpose flour - 2 cup
4.Sugar - 1 cup
5.Water - 2 cup
6.Salt a pinch
7.Vanila essence -3/4 tsp
8.Cloves powder -1/2 tsp
9.Cinnamon powder - 11/2 tsp
10.Soda powder- 2 tsp

Preparation

1.In a pan add the dates and sugar then add water ,oil ,cloves ,cinnamon powder,pinch salt and bring it to boil.And when it starts to boil reduce the heat and cook it for another 7 mts.

2.Then put off the fire and pour it to another bowl.And add the vanilla essence to it.

3.Filter the maida ,and soda powder through a stainer .

4.Add the flour to the dates syrup and mix it with a spoon.

5.In a baking tin you have grease it with butter and sprinkle little flour to it.

6.Then pour the cake batter in the tin and bake it in a preheated oven at 170 -180 degree for 30 mts .

Caramel Cake


Ingredients

1.Sugar - 1/2 cup
2.powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
3.Egg - 5
4.Soda powder - 1 tsp
5.Butter - 100 gm
6.Milk maid - 1/4 cup
7.Baking powder -1 tsp
8.Hot water - 1/2 cup


Preparation

1.Mix the maida with baking powder and soda powder and mix well .To get better result filter it through a stainer.

2.Mean while in a wok or pan melt the sugar to make the caramel.Melt it and stir it to become a dark golden brown color.When it is done add the hot water to it and stir it.Keep it aside.

3.In a bowl add the butter with powdered sugar and mix it well with a wooden spoon.To this add the milkmaid and mix well.

4.In another bowl beat the egg with egg beater ,no need to separate egg white and yellow mix it whole.Make it whip.

5.To the butter sugar mixture add the beaten egg and maida mixture slowly and mix it well.

6.To this add the prepared caramel and mix it slowly with a spoon.Grease the baking plate with little butter and maida.To this pour the cake mixture .

7.Preheat the oven 5 mts at 180 degree and bake it 30 mts at 180 degree.

Now the delicious cake is ready to be served.................
